1. 몇 % ~하다. 표현법 (주어 + 동사 + 몇배표현 + 비교급 + than)

In Korea, Oil price is about 20% more expensive than in US.

In US, Oil price is about 20% cheaper than in Korea.

 

 

2. 몇 배 ~하다. 표현법

배수사 표현

반: a half

두 배 : twice

세 배 : three times

네 배 : four times

1.5배 : 1.5 times

...  = 숫자 + times

 

samsung phones are twice as expensive as china phones. (배수사 + as 원급 as)

samsung phones are twice the price of china phones. (배수사 + the 명사 of)

twice와 half 배수사는 비교급 than 사용이 불가
samsung phones are twice more expensive thatn china phones ( 사용 불가 )

 

His monitor is three times as large as mine. (배수사 + as 원급 as)

His monitor is three times larger than mine. (배수사 + 비교급 than)

His monitor is three times the size of mine.  (배수사 + the 명사 of)

 

That giraffe is six times as tall as me. (배수사 + as 원급 as)
